Gavin Summerhill Trawler 1979

I have just completed my registration with Trawler Forum. Extensive information. Thanks for accepting me aboard!

Are any forum registrants familiar with a 1979 Gavin Summerhill Trawler built, I believe, in Florida. Any history would be of interest.

Spec sheet mentions power is a Ford 335 diesel with 3900 hours. I haven't been able to match this with any search.

We viewed the vessel recently but wish to research available information.

We have sailed extensively for forty years and now looking for a small trawler. A lot to learn but that's half the fun.

Thank you for and assistance.

I think the engine is an older Ford w a smaller bore or shorter stroke or both. I looked at an old 40' Scottish boat that had one. If it comes from the same basic engine (as I suspect) lots of parts should be available.
