Cruise Line to run the North West Passage.

At a cost of $20,700US,Crystal Serenity cruise ship is planning to do the NWP starting August 16,2016 and lasting 32 days.I would be interested if I could part with the green stuff.

The Northern ice is growing twice as thick this year , if it continues the trip may be cancelled.

Yes sure.Everyone with maritime interests know about Franklin's lost expedition.I just find it fascinating that a commoner, like myself, with a nest egg could have a chance to make the NWP.Very few have done it.I would like to do it on a large long range power boat.It would happen quick with very little time for exploration. Not much time between spring break up and winter freeze.I know I'll never do it.It'd probably take a million or two dollars, but I can day dream in my down time.

Or join the Navy, and let taxpayers cover the costs.

I've been there. Not much to see. If you want to see whales 'n such go to Marineland or something. Polar bears? Humph!

The most interesting parts of the arctic are the navigational markers. A stack of oil drums here, the fuselage of a crashed plane there, yadda yadda yadda.

*Yawn*
