The passing of John Tones

I recieved news of the sad passing of John Tones, MV Penta.

There will be a few forum members here that will remember him from the T&T forum list, wooden boat , and this forum.

Taken too soon and I am glad to have met such a wonderfull man.

I'm catching up on posts as we near the end of summer cruising. I'd met John in Sidney BC where he lived and we keep our boat. Once we had met and established a good rapport, John regularly prowled the docks where we keep our vessel knowing we live a long way from the mooring slip. Thank goodness he never alerted us to any issues but his engaging manner and interest in all things nautical was and is much and fondly remembered. RIP John.
