Naval Fire Control Systems Then and Now

I still remember being in the forward fire (shooting)-control station on the USS Missouri (as a tourist) and looking through its periscope. Never felt more protected from unfriendly projectiles.
 
These are so cool. As a sub officer we had to do a quick close check of the gyro angle calculation in our heads. Mk19 Gyros and synch amps were fun too.
