Another of those memorable songs, Olivier. Windmills of Your Mind is great music. Especially when associated with the story line of the movie. Just a wonderful post.

A 5 minutes moment of recollection whether you are a religious person or an atheist.
Amazing Grace performed by the classical French group "Les Prêtres", what I am posting here in memory of the 22 murdered innocents of Manchester terrorist attack also at least 59 people injured, and with their bereaved families and friends, in which Saffie Rose Roussos, an 8-year-old, Olivia Campbell, 15, were among those killed.
or in case the last link doesn't work if intellectual property and copyright issues :
Les prêtres - Amazing grace - vidéo Dailymotion
"Les Prêtres" (meaning The Priests in English) is the name of a French musical trio created by the initiative of Mgr Jean-Michel di Falco. The project was inspired by the success of a similar Irish musical project called The Priests.
Mgr Jean-Michel di Falco Léandri, bishop of Gap and Embrun (Hautes-Alpes, Provence) proposed to two priests of the seminary of the Diocese of Gap and Embrun and a former member of the seminary, all from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gap and Embrun to record a charity album to benefit two projects, one pastoral, to finance partially the construction od a church dedicated to Notre-Dame du Laus (in English Our Lady of Laus) in the diocese, and the other humanitarian, being financing of the construction of a school in Madagascar.
Since the trio started out seven years ago, Les Prêtres have sold 1.7m copies of their first two albums, "Spiritus Dei" and "Gloria". Les Prêtres, who have received a letter of encouragement from Pope Francis and were told by Pope Benedict XVI that their singing was "good for France" released their third album – fittingly called "Amen" – includes a Dvorak arrangement and Edith Piaf's Three Church Bells as well as hits by Nana Mouskouri and Céline Dion.
"We had nothing to lose," said Mgr Jean-Michel di Falco Léandri, "so we decided to try it." The resulting albums brought in a total €1m, which was donated to religious charities.
Originally from the small parish of the city of Gap (population 41,000) the three singers from Gap say they still can't believe what's happened to them. It has taken time to adjust to the rigours of touring in the media glare. "It's been quite emotional, meeting the public," said Les Prêtres, "the media attention has been a discovery".
But despite their popularity, they say they are determined that "Amen" is their last album and the forthcoming 30 concerts their final national tour, so they can return to their parish duties.
P.S. I do not want to overstep the rules of the forum then I leave it to the moderators to judge if this post is too religious or not therefore to decide if it is fine or not.

Amazing Grace
Amazing Grace is one of the most enduring and loved Christian hymns. It is amazing in many ways. First it was written by a reformed slave trader, and published in 1779. John Newton, the author, had a religious conversion while captaining a slave ship during a storm. Amazing Grace is written from his personal experience.

Here's is a young lady who is loaded with talent. If you have not heard of her before don't worry. She will be around for quite awhile. At 15 years old she is phenomenal.

How about a little more of Willie?
Bonus: Two of the clearest voices in the business; Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson.

Here are three young women, or three women when they were young. This song is about as country as it gets. They each have had unique voices.

Let's let the pendulum swing the other way, but not too far. I have to admit that I like tenors. Here are the Three Tenors showing they can have some fun with a song.

Thanks to Steve for reminding us of Roxette. I can't imagine why she was not introduced to this thread before.

"Chi Mai", composed by Ennio Morricone, here performed A cappella by the Tehran Vocal Ensemble.
Founded in 2005 and inspired by European ensembles, the Tehran Vocal Ensemble is a 16-member A cappella choir, half male and half female, led by Milad Omranlou.
Marking a new era in Iranian A cappella music, the band has released two albums titled 'Vocapella' and 'Vocapella 2'. It has staged numerous performances and has been honored at several prestigious international music events.
The ensemble nabbed a gold medal at the Mixed Chamber Choirs section and a silver medal at the Folklore section of the 2nd Asian Choir Games in South Korea in July 2009. In September 2009, the ensemble received a gold medal in the Mixed Choir Category of the 11th International Folksong Choir Festival in Barcelona.
Every year one country is selected to host the World Choir Games which is known as the Olympics for choirs where over 480 ensembles from 60 countries across the world are competing.
The 2010 World Choir Games, held in China, honored the Tehran Vocal Ensemble with a silver medal in the Folklore section and a bronze medal in the Mixed Chamber Choirs section.
At the 2014 World Choir Games, held in Latvia, The Tehran Vocal Ensemble still led by Milad Omranlou was honored with two gold medals at the Mixed Chamber Choirs section and one silver medal at the Popular Choral music section.

"Chi Mai" again, Ennio Morricone soundtrack of Le Professionnel, one of the Maestro's best known scores and themes that attained fame all over the world.
The music :
French director Georges Lautner decided to use a recording of Morricone's composition "Chi Mai" that has been used and recorded in a number of different projects. The first appearance of the famous "Chi Mai" melody was in Maddalena (1971) and was later recorded as a pop song (in several languages) and a so-called disco instrumental was done in 1978. It was this recording that was used in Le Professionnel and is known as the theme from the film (even though it wasn't specifically written for it).
In my opinion, it’s just such an incredible piece of music. "Chi Mai" is an absolutely classic Morricone score which every fan of the composer should have in his or her collection.
The movie :
Released in France in 1981, 4th highest grossing movie of its year in France, "The Professional" is one of the best French films. Directed by Georges Lautner, it stars Jean-Paul Belmondo as a French secret agent. Only an icon had to incarnate this moral ambiguity between what is legal and is legitimate. Since his debuts with Melville, Belmondo was born to play likable outlaws and needless to say that "The Professional" was tailor-made for him.
"Joss Beaumont (Jean-Paul Belmondo) is a French spy given the assignment of killing an African dictator, and when he arrives in Africa to do so, he is captured and put in prison. Indeed the political winds had changed - the dictator is now an ally of France and the best way to handle the agent is to keep him in jail. Naturally at odds now with his former bosses and with an ax to grind for his own incarceration, the agent escapes after two years in prison and heads back to Paris where he announces that he is going to finish his assassination job during the coming diplomatic visit of the African leader. Once aware of his intent, the French government sets up one trap after another, but to no avail - the agent remains free and there is no doubt that he has the full capacity to do exactly what he says". (By Eleanor Mannikka).
In my opinion, the spirit of the film doesn't embarrass itself with political correctness, and in this environment where each works for his or her interest, all we can do is to root for the man, Joss Beaumont, who follows his instinct, his sense of duty, his honor. It's so rare nowadays that it takes a sort of gourmet pleasure to appreciate it.

Great music, Olivier.
Now, how about changing gears in a major way. I don't think we've had any ZZ Top. Here is Sharp Dressed Man.

Now, one from my long time personal favorites. B B King and Lucille. Now, who can tell us what B B stands for? The grand prize is a great big ATTABOY. It's not fair to do a Google search for the answer.
For a little easier question. Who can tell us "who" Lucille is?
This is a long one, and more or less a jam session.
What was that Stratocaster doing in there playing blues. Everybody knows Gibson is the Blues guitar of choice. Actually, that Fender Stratocaster did a good job.
