My first 4x4 was a '72 Blazer I bought in the USAF in Alaska. Loved it and drove it until late 80's and gave it to my son. Got a 98' Exploder V8 that I still have. It has about 115K on it.

It's my Arizona car that I use to haul my 1987 Whaler 13' Sport around to the local lakes. The only repair it's ever had was to recharge the air conditioning when I drove it down there.

Now we have a 2015 GMC Terrain that we use to haul the 2010 Whaler we have up here in WA. It's also a 13', 130 Super Sport.

I used to have a 1972 CJ-5. I still regret to this day selling it.

101TUG, back in 1981 I sailed from St Croix to St Bart's with 2 young ladies on a 30ft sloop. Anchored in the harbor for a week, had a time we did. If I remember correctly they used to have a little slaughter hut right on the water in the harbor, don't know why I remember that but I guess it made an impression watching them from the boat.

Nice to see a Swedish suga, but they really were called, sugga, the Swedish word for Sow. Military humor. We saw these cars often among the 4x4 enthusiasts in the 80s and the 90s, they sold them at the military surplus. My daily driver is a not so vintage 2007 Dodge ram hemi 1500, quad cab. I also have a 71 impala convertible that I overhauling the motor, I had a 69 corvette that I swapped for the impala, because I have a 99 Camaro Z28 to.so the Impala mixed better with the camaro. I do only have a picture of the Impala on my phone. Cars boats and motorcycles is my life besides my wife and the kids. 😀

I feel the same way about an old FJ40 I got rid of when my son was born.
Should have kept it in storage or something. Oh well...

Sold the Land Cruiser in a fit of practicality(Sorry Northern Spy) but to keep my toes inside the cult of Toyota(Thanks for that Northern Spy) I purchased the wife a 2016 4Runner. Most comfortable rig I've ever owned.

Of course now I have old school withdrawals so may have to find me a late 60's wheeler to salve the sore.

I hunted for quite awhile for those treads, Samson 9:00X16, 12 ply, bias ply mud and snow lug. 75 lbs each. Found some nice 16inch rims and had em painted.
Thanks

I *had* a '52 Dodge M37 for years. Not the most practical vehicle but gobs and gobs of fun.

This is NOT mine, but it is my favorite vintage 4x4. I've been a Porschephile since 1967 and once saw one of these at a Concours d'Elegance in Santa Barbara. This is a 1953 Porsche 597 Jagdwagen. I still lust after one of these
