Hey, did anybody go to the CL In The water Boat Show this past weekend?* Was there anything new and exciting that we should know about?

Actually, the boat show was kinda weak....weakest I have ever seen.* Nothing new and a lot of stuff not there that usually is.* I was hoping Soutch Coast Cats woulda had something there but they didn't.* About the most exciting thing was some chick at the front selling something....some scandy with the name Olga Contreras....I guess she was true scandy married to some latino dude.* Anyway, she was smokin'!!!!...and definitely had that St. Pauli Girl look.* I digress.* There is rumor that that particular boat show was the last.* They are doing one at our marina next year in the same time frame and it is supposed to be giant.* They are calling it "The Lone Star International Boat Show".* Google that and see what you get.* I talked to Chelsea and they are kicking us out of the marina for 11 days!!!!!!!* With no re-accomodation.* She said she is trying to get us the whole month for free but now they are just offering a pro-ration.* This is all in infancy stages so this may change.* But if that is the way they do it, we are changing marinas.* I have a flyer for next year's boat show.* Lemme see if I can scan it.

Here ya go.....

That sucks!* Where might you move?* Are they going to take over the whole marina for the show?

No, just half....the half I am in.* I think they will take E-J dock.* By the flyer, it seems like it is gonna be a serious show.* I saw Chelsea the other day and she is already stressed to the max over it and it is a year away.

Dunno.* Haven't given it much thought.* We actually like it over there......pretty hard to beat for 210 a month and the touristas don't really bother us......

That in the water boat show at Watergate is a victim of in-breeding. They won't allow anyone in the show who doesn't have a dealer in this area. That leaves out all the boats like Nordhavns, Krogens, etc. who would like to be here, but can't. The boat dealers in the area want only THEM in the show, so it really isn't good for the public. Those big boats can't make it to the Relant Center shows, so you just have to go to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, Annapolis, etc. to really shop for a big boat. Sucks, but that's why that boat show is about dead. I don't even bother going for free any more.

Keith, I think that is the idea behind this "new" boat show in Kemah.* I think it is put on by the same folks that did Corpus this Spring and while I didn;t go, I here it was one of the best shows Texas has ever seen.* there is also plenty of water to get in and out of the Kemah Marina so any boat that wants to come, can come....
