I found an Ocean Alexander that I find really interesting in terms of layout, and I've been trying to find other examples of her. The thing that I find interesting is that it has a third stateroom with two bunks (and it's not the model with two offset bunks in the bow).

Here is a link to the boat:
1983 Ocean Alexander 43 Flush Aft Deck Power Boat For Sale -

The only "review" of this model that I can find specifically mentions two cabins, and mentions nothing of an optional third.

Try as I may, I can't find another instance of this boat with this layout. All other 43 flush decks seem to have a two cabin layout. What's more confusing is that there are several examples of a "43 Tri-Cabin" but every one of these has two staterooms.

Is anyone familiar with this boat or can point me toward other examples of it? It's kinda driving me crazy! Thanks for your help.

It's possible the boat was customized when built for the original owner. Our boat is a Grand Banks 46 Europa. It was customized when built to have the galley aft between the salon and the "back porch" rather than galley forward which is the normal build. You will likely not find another like it on the market or in the builder's literature. If the boat is documented you could possibly locate the original owner and check it out. Hope this helps. Good luck. Howard

Thanks for the reply. Yes after comparing the two layout drawings it's clear that they simply exchanged the galley down for another small stateroom and moved the galley up and to starboard. Since so many people prefer a galley up, I'm surprised it wasn't an optional layout.

Anyway, it was all just an effort to help me find more and better boat porn. I guess I don't need to feed that habit.

Thanks,
BD
