Has anyone never had a problem with a CQR?.

Not me. I ran a CQR for several years
Cross between a Tortoise and a Shark. Moves slow and never stops.

"Anchor" is a bit of a misnomer for the CQR. More of a "movement abatement" device.

In the case of the CQR anchor I dumped in favour of a Super Sarca, I would hesitate to even use that description, it was so bad. However, I think it was a knock-off CQR..?

Old Sea Dog re post #53,

That Max may work wonderfully in chrome.
The fluke is large and fairly close to flat and the large surface area may have lower drag coupled w the high surface area could produce surprisingly good performance.
Also all that chrome may promote the harbor master to put you in a more conspicuous berth.
