Your windlass pick , your old cleats and your suggestion on angle position of cleat . And The Coot had some input on the cleat position .Thanks for all your help guys . We are staying the night on William tonight . First night in six months . We both have the 3M 4200 hands .

That looks sweet, Pack Mule! No doubt you'll spend many hours enjoying the beauty and function of that bow bling! A couple of chairs and a cool drink tonight?

We haven't pulled the trigger on the chairs yet . But the drinks are flowing .

Looks great, but hope your anchor isn't a SS bauble rather than workaday galvanized.

Mark I think SS is probably better but it's galvanized for this man too.

Bought a 33# Lewmar Claw the other day and I'm going to take it back. The thing is crocked. One fluke is 1/2 to /5/8ths of an inch higher than the other. Could hardly believe it.

Was dirt cheap though .. $85.

Where is the chain stopper?

Remember it or a cleat will be taking the weight of the boat + the surge at anchor.

The flimsy stamped ones are not as strong as the cast versions.

Bolt it in like you would be picking the boat up with it ALONE , as at times it will be highly loaded .

A chain stopper must be installed on every installation using chain. If chain is not used a suitable cleat or Sampson post must be installed to secure the anchor
