muir VE-3000 windlass

we have a gravity drop Muir windlass. My last windlass had two pedals and very easy to use. This one has a brake on top and I am not sure how to drop and retrieve. would appreciate any help.

I searched their site: www.muir.com.au, for that windlass model but got nothing. The "Manuals" section might help. I don`t recognize the model, it may help to know what type it is, ie horizontal,drum,etc. Do you have a photo?
Muir are very responsive so the email dimer2 suggests is likely to be answered, though it took a week when I asked something.
