My 42 Nordic Tug came to me equipped with its original genuine Bruce anchor (30 KG) and 300 feet of chain. I replaced the Bruce with a 66# Spade. Sets fast, holds great! My backup anchor is an Excel two-part aluminum alloy anchor, equivalent to the Spade. The Bruce went to my sister and brother-in-law as a second anchor for their new (old) 42 Her Shine.
Is 33 Bruce sufficient?
