Well I would like to congratulate you all north of the Tweed river.........really I would, and I for one, would like to say how pleased I am that various members of your team were given time out before the game to attend their parent's wedding.

As for XXXX, a product that is continually & erroneously referred to as beer, I was tempted to mention it in a post about toxic antifoul paint that kills all known life by a slow liquidifacation of the brain cells, heaven knows what this 8x stuff will do, testicle shrinkage comes to mind. :

To my team I offer the following, with thanks to Percy Bysshe Shelley

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away."

Apart from that I don't mind at all.

Heathens. XXXX is better than the swill my home state (Vic) trots out...but so is Tooheys....and I am eternally grateful to the 80's and 90's SOO teams for the highlight reels I keep showing to the American football enthusiasts over here...along with the admonition that 'playing a game where it takes longer to get dressed in all the armor than it takes to play the game' is sissified at best...Go the Maroons !!!!

Yes, they are a very good team and I would drink a toast to them with a decent beer..... A schooner of Coopers pale ale.
