Since Seatow closed a while back, Sydney had no privately operated on-water assistance service. We have "Marine Rescue" which is/was a statewide volunteer organization, now funded in part by the NSW Govt.by fees added to marine license fees we pay Roads & Maritime.
I just received a card/fridge magnet from a bright yellow "Boat Assist 24" vessel cruising my bay on the Lane Cove River. For between $150-185 they offer a service, details at www.boat assist.com.au. They are based at Mortlake and cover all of Port Jackson, and limited offshore areas in daytime.
I lost service cover pre-paid with Seatow. Anyone know about the new guys?
