Replacing 541s companion to 4210

Hi folks, I have Garmin GPSMAP plotters, the 541s at my lower helm and a 4210 on the flybridge of my Camano 31'. I was thinking about upgrading my 5" 541s to a 7" unit. Currently, I have the transducer connected to the 541s.

The 741xs seems real popular but the new 742xs adds wifi which supposed bumps up the usefulness of the Active Captain app.

The 742xs only has 1 input and 1 output NMEA 183 port, versus 2 each on the 741xs, though it has (differential) written next to the 1 in the specs.

A little concerned about whther either will share the transducer info to my 4210 like the older 541s does but expect that will work.

Anyone have any experience with the new 742xs?
