Electrician in Oriental

I figured out why my high-output alternator was not working. The ground cable terminal broke off. The cable is long enough to cut an inch or so off and crimp a new connector on. I don't have a crimper that will work on a cable this large. So I'm looking for someone in Oriental that can come to the boat to do it. We are in Bellhaven today and then will be in Oriental for 3 days.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks, Mike

Call the folks at Deatons right there in town. They will usually make house calls, or should I say boat calls and I have had good experience with them in the past.

Thanks. I was actually able to fix it myself. Found the terminals at the Ace Hardware in Belhaven and borrowed a crimper from some sailboaters we met along the way. Alternator worked great on the trip to Oriental.

Here is a pic from the boat. Click image for larger version
