Stopped time / moving time

My Garmin GPS gives elapsed time broken down into " stopped time " and " moving time". Does it use speed to differentiate tween the two and if so .. got any idea what speed that is ?

It probably has a distance component to it as well because a boat never really stops moving.

An interesting concept is the hour meter in the Flowscan will not record , unless there IS fuel flow.

So a noisemaker or power plant that is powered wont run phony hours.
