Am I missing anything thinking that bronze (Raymarine CPT-120) transducer would be preferable to plastic (CPT-110)? The bronze transducer appears to be only about $50 more.

nope..the plastic transducers will outlast the techology...so you will probably change it before it ever is an issue.


unless it is in an area where you leave loose anvils rolling around in your bilge...:D


even then it might be just as strong...:thumb:


I didn't look them up..but if the same performance and you are just concerned about materials...don't be.

I believe the performance is the same. I'll confirm that though. Since I'm not carrying any anvils, maybe I will save some money. ?
