Satellite TV in Sea of Cortez

Curious about using US based Satellite TV in the Sea of Cortez. From the look of the coverage map it looks like a KVH5 using Dish would work for most of the area. Does anyone have experience with this?

We are loosely planning on doing the powerboat version of the BaHaHa in November of 2019.
