One that installs in the boat or handheld? What kind of info?

I provided the link in my post. Fixed mount including transducer. Transducer can be mounted inside hull to shoot right through the hull. No throughulls required.

I’ve never seen a transducer mounted like that. Glad I didn’t try to take the whole thing out!

So now that we know what kind of transducer I have, anything that I need to know about this one? Other than potentially letting the ocean in.
The arrow should point forward to align the paddlewheel. Don’t know that brand TD. I’m used to seeing the black one on the left of the picture. Btw. What’s wrong with that one?
The problem with the cheap fish finder is the cable to the TD usually won’t reach the flybridge. Check for manufacturers extension cable.

i bought a lowrance hook 9 and a simrad go7 .i love the simrad the hook not so much both using p79 . the hd options don't work with the shoot through transducer(side view ,chirp ect ).

if you using a old data marine unit the connectors may just need cleaning. i had to clean mine while bringing the boat home . had no depth or radio the first day of the trip

My main screen depth/chart plotter is Simrad, it’s good, but the second one in the cockpit that I use for bottom fishing is a Furuno 585, and though it’s a little more complicated to use, the clarity is the best I’ve seen, and what I measure all other bottom machines against.
Both machines are hooked up to Airmar B 260 transducers, and they must be regularly cleaned for max performance.

The white plug is normally for a speedo unit when its removed and exchanged for a speedo unit to stop banacles etc. Also the unit installed has ab Arrow? probably marking direction of the bow etc.
