Navionics question

I asked Navionics customer service, and they couldn't provide an answer, referred me to a US government site, which I didn't try, saving myself perhaps a week.... So, here it is: What are those little pink birds on Navionics supposed to represent?

It's not the same as the NOAA chart symbols and they are absolutely everywhere on the navionics charts. I always thought they were Navionics watermarks.
