In an unusual side track back in this thread, Sunchaser asked how my off-grid home was working. The answer is, just great. Everything is operational and the batteries were in the end of their absorption phase in the mid afternoon. I haven't checked the water level yet in the batteries, but I expect they need to be topped up.
