I have a 3 battery 12 volt system, 2 start/crank and 1 house also a start/crank battery run through 2 isolating switches.

I wish to install an independent 12v deep cycle battery for a Antenna,TV and some lights (mainly LED's) my query is can I wire it directly to my house battery switch.

I realise it is not prudent to parallel batteries of different voltages types etc.

My reason for wanting to do the install this way is lack of room to install another switch due to lack of room and ascetics.

How will you charge the battery? If the battery is for other separate devices, connecting it is really only relative to changing.

I'm having trouble understanding the math, there; sound like 4 batteries?

Easiest I think might be to just add a battery to your house bank -- even if not exactly co-located -- since your charger is already likely set up to service that.

Is there a reason to make the additional batty independent vs enlarging the house bank?
House bank battys best if true deep cycle vs start battys.

See this article on deep cycle battys

2 - 6V golf cart battys in series are a common and desirable house bank.
