Inputting GPS coordinates into my chart plotter

I'm in the process of inputting various coordinates into my new Garmin chart plotter. The chart plotter is formatted for DDD.MM.SSS my Map is DDD.MM.SS what number would I use for the 3rd place in the seconds portion of the coordinates string? Eg my map has 33 38.33' by 118 03.11' (should be a degree symbol over the 33 and 118) What do I input after the 33 and the 11 in the seconds part for the 3rd place?
Thanks

The map says 33 38.33. This is DD MM.MM, not DD MM SS. If you want DD MM SSS for your chartplotter, then it is 33D 38M 20S (.33M x 60S/D=20S). If you need a third digit or tenths of a second, add a zero for 20.0S. For the longitude, it will be 118D 03M 06.6S.

Sometimes you'll see DD.DDD like 38.916D. This would be 38D 54M 57.6S. (.916 x 60 = 54.96M - 54=.96S x 60 = 57.6S)
