Google map links to home ports

A recent new member to TF from Greenland made me think that providing a Google map link to our home ports would be an interesting way to discover and explore, via satellite images, the home cruising areas of other members around the world.

Here's a link to Kitimat, BC, Canada;

Here's a 'sky high' view of our area....

https://www.google.com/maps/@46.2504...26931,8z?hl=en

and a closer in shot of our marina....

Our boat is out near the end of that eastern-most dock.

I'm in California Yacht Marina.

I'm far west down the long dock.

Here is a close up of my Mainship at the end of the dock and parallel to it. Once I get the Gulfstar to NJ it will rest in the same spot.

Here is the profile of the Mainship using the street view.

We're too far in the sticks for Google. This is the best that they can do with a photo of a portion of the Western side of our harbor. They don't have a street view of our little yacht club (or of much of anything around here).

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.3403...40194!2e1!3e10

Satellite a bit better:

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.3373248,-68.7387,898m/data=!3m1!1e3

But here's a non Google pic of the harbor.

Nope. More unimaginative. Just plain Harbor Island.

And you can buy it. Strings attached.

Great thread since I am a total Google Maps and Google Earth junkie.
