Garmin 7608xsv help

My Garmin worked fine in the crossing from Boca inlet to West end Grand Bahama. But when I got here I entered a bunch of new waypoints and none are correct they show up where 30 miles away from where they are supposed to be and garmin does not open till tomorrow!

Does your current GPS coordinates correspond to where you should be?

mine reads n26.700.47 w78.99.125 other garmin 496 waas on boat reads n26.42.032 w78.57.470

Is there any chance you entered the coordinates in Degrees Minutes Seconds (DDD MM SS) vs. Decimal Degrees (DDD.DDDD), or Degrees Decimal Minutes (DDD MM.MMM)?

You should be able to configure the Position Format in your User Settings.

If you go into the Menu to
Configure to
Preferences to
Units to
Position Format

Think you will find you are on the wrong format. Set your format and then reenter your way point.

I just want to say thanks to the two of you your insight was right on the money and now I will be able to continue on this my first major outing on my boat since ownership you all are fantastic
