Furuno 1833C vs. 1623

Hello,

Been lurking for a while but finally decided to post. Which do you think is a preferable unit, a new 1623 or a used (700hrs) 1833c?

How much are you paying for the 1833c? The 1623 looks like basic radar.

If it was me I would go for the 1833 assuming it was in good condition. One nice thing about being in this part of the country is that there is an excellent Furuno factory service center in Washington which removes some of the risk of buying a used piece of electronics.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the 1833c. Bigger screen, bigger radome, and more dedicated buttons made it a better choice. I installed it in an afternoon and am really enjoying it!
