Curious about these add on start capacitors

I had to use a similar one on my old boat fridge since it's starter relay had failed, and it worked great.

I was wondering if adding one of these onto a 16k btu cruisair heat pump, which already has a start capacitor, run capacitor and potential relay, would it lower the current surge needed to get it running?

Not that it needs it, as it starts up well and all those 3 components are new within the last 2 years.
But I had wondered would adding that thing allow the 16k btu heat pump to start up on a 3000 watt inverter? The heat pump likely is about 60 amp startup surge

Another idea are these Dometic soft starters, but they are $450.

I might like to play with the smaller Supco start capacitor relay I have since I dont have a use anymore for it.
The one I currently have is this

Just my experience, but I tried one on my 12K Mermaid in hopes I could start and run it on a 2K generator...Seems there was already one in the Control box. Bottom line, the ouboard Supco had no affect and it didn't work with that generator...
