Awesome remote solution for Furuno Autopilot Remote

So I’ve been trying to figure out how to be able to go sit up on the bow with the family when underway but none of the Furuno remotes are that good, I prime example is ability to switch from Nav to Auto to avoid a boat then switch back to Nav. Then one of the reps gave me the idea of just buying a 711c controller and making it a remote. Just installed it today and it works brilliantly! Just thought I’d post as it’s a great solution at almost the same price as a remote.

I got the plastic case and waterproof cable fitting from amazon, Display is the 711c with a 15m cable.
