AIS Information on Standard Horizon vhf radios

I have been giving some thought to adding class B transmitting to my boat for the times we cruise thru busy harbors. I haven't really felt the need for it on the river, but in a area like St. Louis where there are dozens of commercial boats I see the benefit. I was concerned that the GX-2150 would receive the signal and sound the cpa warning, I couldn't find any info concerning this in the owners manual. I sent a email to S H support yesterday asking the question and received this reply this morning.

"Our radios are designed to ignore their own mmsi number. It should not alert or show anything on the display with your mmsi number"

So I think I will proceed with this when the boat fund recoverers from all the work done this winter. I hope this information will help any one else contemplating this.
