What do I do Now?

Ran the water maker and filled the tanks, took the dingy out for a bit, just put steaks on the grill......guess I'll get another cold beer and enjoy the view!

We've had great weather since starting this trip!
We left Portland on the 30th, crossed the Columbia bar on April 1st and headed up the coast. Friggin crab pots, JEEEEZZ. We were 5 miles off the coast and still dodging em.
Spent nights in Westport, La Push and Neah Bay. Neah was a dump! Stayed in Port Angeles for a few days then headed for the southern San Juan Islands. We're currently in a favorite of ours, Mud Bay. Nice quiet spot, we will head up a bit tomorrow for a few more days, then over to Whidbey Island for a week of so. Stay on The east side and visit the Oak Harbor Tavern and maybe even run over to Coupville and visit Toby's.
We plan the trek north around the 1st of May, turn around at Prince Rupert and head south. Should be back in Portland Sept./Oct.
If anyone sees us on AIS, hail us and maybe we can have a cold one and tell lies!

Eat the steaks, drink the beer and enjoy the view.

Sure beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Thanks Richard,
Think you'll make it back in the water in May? The trip south sounds great, and the warmer weather will be a pleasant change I'm sure.

Ha, that's such a softball... start sanding and varnishing again))

Just kidding... enjoy a few moments reflecting that no other life on earth can do as you are doing when and where you are doing it. I guess the short version is "enjoy the moment"...

Why turn around at PR? Without hustling you could be in Ketchikan by Mid May and do the trip to Glacier Bay. Easily be back to Port Angeles by early August.

Alaska is next year, so much to see and do in Canada. The wife hasent seen the Canadian inside passage so thought I'd let her experiance it before heading For Alaska. She really likes the winery tours..

Crusty, when you head back to the Columbia, head upstream another 200 miles to our neck of the woods and the drinks are on me. The trade off for the freebie drinks is to hear your tales of your summer.

There's a brew pub right at the top of our docks and plenty of transient moorage to go with it.

Mike,
We talked about making that trip a couple of times. But sorta doubt that after this trip and we get near Portland, the wife is gonna be chomping to get home and see the grandkids.
But thanks for the invite. We will put it on the bucket list!

Get her within 50 miles of one and she sniff's them out. Besides, by the time we cross into Canada, her wine stash will need restocking.

Is the flag in the pic, hiding PA's little getaway. No pubs close to Mud Bay is there?

We just finished up the Selene rondevous, and are in Vancouver now. Should be at Chatterbox in another week or so. Hope to meet up with you.
