Enjoy that great little town.
$1.50/foot during the week...(we stayed off season and they even beat that for us.

+1 for Higgins. They are actually the closest to town and the Museum. Their showers kind of suck, but the deal is good. Besides I'm a cheapskate.

You pay $1.50/ft per day (and I assume that may include swim platform and bow pulpit) and that's considered a good deal! Why for our little 32' boat (37' or so with the appendages) that could be close to $50 a day! That's outrageously expensive for a parsimonious Yankee!

I agree and after one trip to St Michaels...that's all I needed...I like the Museum but it ain't all that bad a**...and other than taking newbies there...spending MORE than $50 a day would be not in my budget.

You can anchor pretty close into the inner harbor if not during the season and you get there late on a weekend...so it's not all bad.

Most people just anchor in the Miles River off the beach unless the weather is going to be severe....

The end of the street tie up is free with an unenforced 2 hour time limit. Higgins is the deal if you have to have a dock or join the museum and dockage is free during the day and cheap for overnights.

St Michaels pocket trawlers and not so. Check the AIS and you'll see our favorite anchor spot

Don't mess with the waterman. They own the water around there.

Any chance you would make a side trip to New Bern this time? Or are you in a "hurry" again?

Driving to port

When you round Drum Point your in 50' of water 30' from the beach. A very hard thing to get used to in the Chesapeake.
