So that's Mile Hammock. Look's like a pleasant stop.

Lots of our friends swear by it. We have never stayed there since you are not allowed to go ashore and, until this year, we have always had TiVo along.

AICW thru Camp Lejeune. They close the AICW from time to time for live fire exercises. One of the bridges this morning closed for emergency repairs right after I got passed Who knows how long it might be closed, and there is no inside detour. I feel bad for the folks behind me

At the 4.3 knts I'm making right now I might not get there today I just watched a Carver 440 go hard aground in Bogue Sound.

When I come around Radio Island and I'm in the flood I'm going to need to deploy my sea anhor just to keep from plowing into downtown Beaufort

There he goes to pull the Carver

You're pretty close to slack at the Town Docks... Just take a lap around Morehead or goof around for an hour or less. You'll be fine by then.

All is well here in beautiful Taylor Creek. For those who haven't been to Beaufort, what are you waiting for?

Might have to go peg leg to complete the look.

Not just any fried oysters....buffalo flash fried on top of blue cheese grits!! OMG......We gotta go get some... That's at Floyd's 1921 right next to the Yacht Basin. Also a big time favorite of mine is the duck quesadilla at the City Kitchen on 11th street. 2 blocks west? south? from the MHC town docks.

We don't really cruise the NC coast. We're just eating our way from one end to the other.

Bogue Sound is the pits. Did it once, the rest of the time, outside between Moore Head City and Masonboro Inlet.
