Stunning scenes

Just posted this photo on a "private" thread. I took it on our Alaskan (big ship) cruise earlier this year. I was "stunned" as I hadn't examined it closely earlier. I'm sure you all can present such scenes (please no sunset/sunrise photos as they have had their own thread).

It was our fourth (and finally successful) attempt of exploring Tracy Arm.

That looks like Tracy Arm. Here is a picture I took in Tracy Arm from my boat in 2003.

You should take your boat up there Mark. Difinitely the best way to see SE Alaska

Hi Mark,
The first one looks like somewhere else but the second is TA beyond a doubt. I've only been up there once and that was on a 55' twin Jimmy day tour out of Juneau. Lots of seals and bergs.
I have been down Endicot Arm and up Ford's Terror. THAT is a stunning place. Have old print pics but nothing digital. Took pics w a twin lens 2 1/4 X 2 1/4 camera. Wonder if I have the negs.

Mist did you see an Albin 25 in 03 in SE? How did you like that nice weather that year?

This is one of our favorite shots. Waddington Bay in the Broughtons, north of Vancouver Island.

This was taken at Spencer Spit on Lopez Island. Our good friends on the Maddie B were the subject.

Both photos were taken in Tracy Arm earlier this year. It was our fourth attempt, and we finally succeeded entering the fjord. Twice we were diverted to Tracy Arm, and once heavy fog prevented entry into their entrance.

Very nice one Bob Cofer. One of my favorite anchorages but not protected.

Steppen that one reminds me of this:

My favorite place in Arizona, however, is Mormon Lake. There were over 400 Elk gathered here the day before we arrived. This lake is one of only two natural lakes in Arizona.

Thanks Richard,
That first picture is (gotta use the kid word) Awsome!
I did Glacier Bay in the early 70s when there were no restrictions at all in the bay. We camped while at anchor on Marble Island and on a tripod took a picture of the moon in the middle of the night. Wish I could share that.

Hi mark, just a little pointer on what happened a week plus ago. Burst bowman rubber on gearbox cooler & water went straight into tappet cover breather, very messy milky oil. Had to wait days to get rubbers air freighted out of USA & flushed 4 times with second grade filters, last filter good quality. All is ok now.
Mark watch out for this one as I would expect your rubbers would b aging now too.
Happy cruising in your Coots
