I slipped the lines at 8:15 this morning and am on my way to Panama City via Appalachicola the weather isn't great but it's not horrible either. Grey overcast skies 56 degrees and north wind at 7 mph the boats rolling a little but everything is still on the shelves. If you want to track me I am broadcasting my position and can be tracked at marinetraffic.com MMSI: 913030729 or just search for

Not far from you for a few days on St George very grey

keep the pictures coming

Most of the bay is usually pretty decent in a North wind, at least until you get west of the bridge, that stretch from the bridge to the mouth of the apalach river gets kind of choppy. You can cut the corner there some if you have enough tide, but I usually don't as it only saves a mile or two.

Thanks for the pics, have a great trip!

Anchored just West of the Destin East pass last night. I should have gone on into the ditch for protection from the north winds that shifted around to the East by this morning. Making good time 7.5 knots @ 1400 rpm I guess the flood tide is with me in the ditch.ImageUploadedByTrawler Forum1421509319.572469.jpg

Spanish Moon it looks like things are going well. How far west are you going? If crossing the Miss. River when do you plan to do that and have you crossed through the locks there before?

Are you going to make it up as far as Kentucky lake / Tn River ? If you do stop in at Paris Landing . I would love to see your rough water . We don't get many west coast boats in at our dock. Have fun .
