Inside passage Marco island to Goodland

Will be cruising South from Fort Myers to Marathon Key in January. Anybody out there with info on the inside Route? We draw 4 1/2'. Plan on getting a slip at the marina in Goodland then out Coon Key pass. I have done this route years ago with a 3 1/2' draft with no problem.
Thanks

We've used this route several times in the past couple of years. 1st remember about the change in the buoys just past the bridge at Marco. They change from Red to Right to Red to starboard if you are leaving Marco. And it is a hard starboard turn just past the bridge as well.
There is good water most of the way, just stay in the channel.
Our biggest concern was heading out past Coon Key and to Gulliver Bay. We draw 4' and were OK, it's just those 5-6' depths that are somewhat stressful.

I've carried 4 feet on that route many times and never touched. In bad weather it is a God send.

We took that route in 2010 we have 4' draft no problem. We anchored overnight on the north side of Tripod Key and the next morning out Coon Key Pass southbound to Little Shark River.
