Hey Dave,
Are we having fun? Hope the foot works out. I'm what 6-7 weeks into mine and I've got a long way to go. The trip looks like fun. Tell you what I'll keep going and we will meet again in Canada.

Well I'm back at it. I was anchored out for almost a week I guess. Trying to get over the loss of my crew. I'm still not sure why but it can't be for the reasons I was given. But I'm about outta fresh water and provisions. Just passing the sandbars west of Ft. Walton I hope to dock in Pensacola tonight.

I'm crossing mobile bay. Then north to Tennessee

Coming into Mobile. I was a little nervious coming across the shoals to get into the shipping channel. But I'm in now.

I stayed at the Fairhope yacht club for two days. I can't say enough about the hospitality. I felt like family. I think when I decide what I'm doing part of it will be to become a yacht club member. It's also a great place for my motor boat with all those lighting rods.

About three years ago I helped a gut move a 36 ft sailboat from Pensacola to Slidel,La.We stayed offshore until Mobile Bay and then came in on the Mobile Ship Channel .It was not pretty.I wish we would have taken the ICW all the way. Then we tried to anchor in Mobile Bay .No luck there.Live and learn.
We are wanting to make that trip down to Orange Beach area from Tennessee someday. We just did a trip this past week from Paris Landing to Green Turtle Bay.Thanks for posting your trip.I'll be checking in everyday.

Go to marinetraffic.com find Carter's cove and make me a part of your fleet Follow me to somewhere in Tennessee you can see where I was at 3:30 pm

If I have any money left I plan on going back after hurricane season. Save up.

David, wish I had known that you were at Fairhope YC. I would have had you say hello to John Adams. Maybe you met him around the bar. He is a very good mechanic, and good guy.

Sounds familiar. I'm terrible with names. They were a great bunch of guys. I met a few on Tuesday they met for coffee to share their knowledge or is it wisdom when your a little older. I know it gets mixed with a little bull along the way. :)
