Where are you going in TN? We have homes in Marathon and Nashville, but our 24 ft Mako is too small to do what you're doing!

You come right through the mountains via the Grand Canyon of the Tennessee. When you come out, you are right at the foot of Lookout Mountain. Awesome trip

It will actually be 4 lockings----Wilson, Wheeler, Guntersville, and Nickajack.

Very close to where my parents grew up. Must be that Tennessee Valley deal they did?

I'm watching the weather. I don't want to travel in the rain if I can plan around it. Also if they get a lot up north the river will be full of crap. But if not for that I was leaving Friday.

White sauce? They have lost their minds down there. Get out while you still can. Tennessee has Memphis style dry rub ribs and smoked pulled pork. Great fried catfish and hush puppies. We believe in a balanced diet so add bread pudding.
The only white sauce you will find here is the saw mill gravy on our biscuits. That's southern eggs Benedict. That of course comes with slow cured Tennessee country ham. We have Jack Daniels and George Dickel. Have you heard of any good whiskey coming out of Alabama. David, you are close to the promised land. Don't get side tracked.

I got my new fresh water or potable water pump changed out. I found a disconnected ground which should fix some electronics that weren't working right. And I topped off my batteries It's only been two months since I put all new batteries in and they took a half a gallon.
We are docked across from a park where Nazareth will be playing later and I'm just about a hundred yards from where the fireworks will be going up. So grab the gran kids an come on down.

Hey David, what does it cost to go through the locks? Do they provide the lines to tie the boats with? I've never gone through a lock before but my boat came through the Panama Canal and you have to have line handlers and your own lines there.
