Anyone coming thru Mohawk River ?

Erie Canal on their way to the Great Lakes anytime soon? I have seen quite a few trawlers headin west thru the locks. I am in the Fonda NY area

Don't know about "soon" but we'll be passing through in August on way to Bahamas.
NY State Canal System is my absolute favourite cruising ground.

Some of the boats are probably the Great Loop cruisers making their way north. We will finish the Great Loop tomorrow in Solomons MD. Awesome trip, never a bad day in 13 months.

Do you usually go to the Bahamas during hurricane season? Are there good hurricane holes available to ride out a storm? I have only chartered there in June so have no idea.
