What was the roughest or worst sea condition ever experienced with
your Prairie 29?

Not sure what it is you are looking for. These boats are displacement design, they roll in a beam sea, sometimes, when the seas are close or a heavy wake, you have to tack or the roll can violent. They handle seas and following seas gracefully. Have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Have been in some serious line squalls, which were all short lived, hour or two.

The PO,also original owner took her from Tampa to Puerto Rico back in 1979. He told a story of very rough conditions.

Don't know if that helps, just not sure of what your looking for. I am a safety first type, and do not seek out bad weather, however, trust the boat can handle more then I can.

The videos of the Mischiefs trips might give you some better ideas.

Thanks Sortie,
I guess you answered my question, I was concerned about her sea keeping
abilities in rough weather. She looks like a solid little boat and I just wanted
to get some first hand feed-back from those who know the prairie 29 from
experience in the real surf.
Thanks again,
