Ones anyone know what materials to use for the outside window cover. I was looking at a open mesh for outside furniture but I'm not sure it's the same as we use on boats. An what material to use to sew around the border. And maybe the best place to buy.

We just had this done. They used Textaline mesh. Seattle Fabrics has both Textaline and Phifertex. Mesh for Clothing, Bags, Screening and more! I don't know whether their prices are good or not.

As soon as I can master (more or less) the sewing machine operation, I plan to tackle a similar project & more. We have a lot of canvas repair work to be done. I have found the Sailrite. com website to be very helpful & informative. Lots of videos & DVD's available. Cheerfully, a lot of them are free. I have also found them to be quite helpful on the phone.
