If I were Mark, I would post a bunch of pics of every major projects I have dome in the past 4 years. Each one is mounted to King Starboard. Fuel system, charging system, raw water system, and engine relay system.

Kitchen cutting boards are made from same/similar material (polyethylene) and come in various sizes suitable for individual projects. King Starboard is an expensive "marine" version of the same.

The only thing i found right now (now that i know what i was looking fore) was "POLYWOOD, boards of massive polyethylene" that is sold by ex SEASEA http://www.seasea.se/Article.aspx?ArticleNo=1546 but it looks like it only comes in 6 and 12 mm.

I've used the Starboard.
I'm currently using the Densetec to slowly replace the falling apart Teak/Arborite locker doors. I bought a sheet of 1/2"
It's easily worked with standard woodworking tools.
Tough, will hold a screw well,. Tapping screws rather than standard taper woodscrews although it may hold those also, I've just not tried them.
It is High Density Polyethylene [HDPE] heavily loaded with colour pigments and UV protection. The surface is lightly pebbled, not smooth or shiny.
The kitchen accessories, cutting boards, are not pigment or UV protection loaded and will not stand up long continuously outdoors.
Difficult or impossible to glue, at least reliably or paint. You have to work with the colours available.
There are other mfgrs that I found but they usually don't care about the marine market, rather playground equipment where other strong colours may be available.
I recognize it also for washroom dividers at urinals and toilet compartments so it has wide uses. Usually in 3/4" or 1"
I notice the local boatbuilder, Coastal Craft, uses it for accessories .
I think I've seen it on vessels like the Hunters, Bayliners, Searays plus miscellaneous marine accessory mfgrs.
I looked at the Polywood site you offered and I think it is the same type of stuff but maybe more limited.
My Densetec was a sheet 54" x 96" x 1/2" [12mm] thick for about $260.00 Cdn 2 years ago. 3/"4 [19mm] sames sheet size was about $380.00Cdn

That's correct ... best suitable for engine room projects, bilge, and where sun does not shine.
