Dark, no windows, unacceptable seating arrangements, and a wooden handled banging device...looks totally corporate to me!

I did the same thing. The forward berths were a joke, having a large chart table and storage has worked out really well. I also enlarged the anchor locker. Will post some pics next time I'm on the boat.

Here's the office and extra storage I got by taking out the v berths. I repurposed the drawers that were under the berths by stacking them and moved the bulkhead for the anchor locker aft to allow for more chain.
