A stcky wicket with my transmission. Fill

So... Bit of a problem.
Replacing the fluid in borg warner transmissions.
Drained out the old, old, old fluid fine but completely stripped out the fil/ dipstick nut and cannot get the bugger off.
Assuming it takes the same amount to fill as the other engine, can I get the fluid down the breather hole until I can break the dipstick nut out?
Any suggestions?

Have you tried pulling up on the cap assembly as you try to turn the knob CCW? I have one that gives me a problem now and then, but it errs on the side of being too loose. I have found that I need to pull up as I tighten the cap.

I've heard precautions against overfilling...be careful if you end up guessing your fluid level.
