The photo shows some plastic webbed strapping (like comes wrapped around the carboard boxes containing minor and major appliances and junk furniture from China) the diver just removed from my prop hub. I remember the moment when this got entangled as a lot of noise and slowing of boat speed from my cruising 15 MPH. It was a couple of weeks back, and the boat has been run a few hours since then. I throttled back to idle when the odd noise started and then powered back up normally with no further issues. The diver reported the SALCA was missing. My guess is it did its job but was ripped off in so doing.
