Perko Parts?

I pulled our entry door latch apart recently. The handle has ceased to center itself. The spring inside is broken. Any ideas where to order a new OEM spring from?Steve

This is AMERICA in 2009. You can only purchase a complete new part from Perko, not a part., that was 1950's service levels .

Perhaps the drawers at an Ace Hardware will have a "close enough" spring.

Otherwise Defender Industry in CT should have a complete replacement* at a modest discount.

Boy, somebody could sell a lot of them! You could try www.mcmaster.com, they have darn near everything. You just have to figure out which spring is the closest match.

Yea, I think I am on a McMasters budget these days. I took a few digital pics after I had it down, then reassembled. I will see if I can order a few possible sizes.Steve

OK,I got the cure. I ordered 2 sizes from Grainger and one worked great. The number is on the bag.
