Ford Lehman

have a twin ford lehman 2728T 275 hp turbo-intercooled . ive heard that the intercooler cores need to be serviced every 2-3 seasons. how involved is it to service them? thanks for your help

Are your coolers raw water cooled or fresh water cooled?

The turbo/aftercooled Fords may have problems getting cooling system parts. Check on that first.

I have seen some aftermarket universal ones that may work in the event one needs to be replaced. I'm sure any good company that works on marine engines can get them. Also, the originals may be repairable in a pinch.

Brian told me that if my aftercoolers go bad on my SP225s that they are not available anymore. He said if that happens that we route a hose around them and then I would have SP180s without the aftercoolers.
