Is there anything I need to look out for when disassembling the control head to replace the cables.
 
I would recommend taking a photo of every step from before the new cables to after you install them. It really helps with the memory of how they were adjusted.

Also the pdf manual for your model of morse Control is probably out there to download. Here is one I refer to. Good instructions on any adjusting to do if needed and great illustrations.

All good advice above.

I have Teleflex/Morse NB levers and I replaced the throttle and gear cables to both stations. Although the internals are somewhat different from yours, the same procedure applies. You may find the description in the link below useful. The little ferrule I made to join the old and new cables made threading the new cables a simple job. Good luck.
