Well i have a norcold i think its my 3 boat that was bought with one already on it. No problems and i did put isolators on it same as i did with the fresh water pump and A/C unit, along with anything i think might make noise when i am trying to take a power nap !

Upon doing a google search, it also appears that there are some instances of Dometic fires in RVs as well.

I know there was a big recall about 5-6 years ago??? Not sure exactly when or for what reason.

I have a Dometic in the RV, and have had 2 issues in 4yrs. One was a circuit board failure ($129) and the other more recent one was a blown fuse.

My point was, assuming equal quality, if twice as many Norcolds have been sold as Dometics, one might expect to hear of twice as many failures.
