I thought the hull refit was complete, but lurking aft was this...



Rudder packing gland Swiss cheese. So out comes the shaft and new parts ordered. That will be every piece of bronze ( through hulls & seacocks) replaced in the hull. With the new shaft log and drip less shaft seal, will have a very dry bilge indeed.

Thanks, it turns out the assembly wasn’t bonded, over time eaten away. At some point, once the dust settles, I will inventory everything we’ve done since we hauled in October.
